PyKye++ is an addition to the Python/PyGame version of the Kye puzzle game called PyKye. You still must solve each puzzle by collecting all the gems without getting stuck or eaten by a monster, but now you have many more hazards to watch out for, including kill blocks. There are now even more combinations and challenges to be found.

The inspiration for some of the elements in PyKye++ comes from a game called "Chip's Challenge," which is itself similar to Kye is many ways. I had though about building a clone of it, but then I had the idea of combining it with PyKye just to see if it could be done. Here is proof that it can.

Slide on ice, get pushed by force blocks, switch barriers on and off in your favor, and much more! I even fixed a small bug that prevented the program from recognizing single keystrokes consistently. For a guide to the different tiles, see the PyKye++ blog entry.
